45 min Move + Thrive class is an effective total body cross training workout that uses several modes of exercises to develop specific fitness and wellness goals. Guys + Gals - All levels welcome, including beginners.
This class varies week by week encouraging optimal strength and mobility training for the body in all elements of movement. You'll learn how to utilize various types of workout equipment which includes, Foam Roller, TRX Suspension Trainer, Kettle Bell, Hand Weights, Battle Rope, Slam & Med Balls and More! This class may also incorporate Power Yoga Sculpt, Core Pilates Fusion, & Functional Fitness methods using traditional calisthenics a form of strength training that utilizes your own body weight as resistance that you can increase or decrease depending on your level of challenge. This hybrid class takes the basic foundations of Pilates movements with classical ballet-inspired moves from Barre into a full body, low impact workout. This Vinyasa style yoga practice begins with warming sun salutations to create the foundation of the postures as we breathe and flow between poses. Each movement is linked to an inhale or an exhale. The flow is at a leisurely pace to facilitate calmness while creating a meditative state of being. The postures are arranged to open a target area in preparation for a peak pose. Breath: mindful breathing and centering practices to prepare the body and mind for movement. Body: gentle movements and yin postures with longer holds that allow the tissues to unravel. Yin Yoga is a slow-paced style of yoga where poses are held for longer periods of time to encourage myofascial release and improve joint mobility. This style of practice is great for working your connective tissues and such as ligaments and joints, that respond best to mindful steady movement.
