My fitness path got started for me when I was just getting out of High School. I was always in sports but hated to workout. When no one was around to motivate me I let myself go and ended up looking at the mirror at someone I didn’t recognize or want to acknowledge. So I joined a kickboxing gym and went from 265 pounds down to 165 pounds. At the time I was still plenty young enough to put my head down and just keep working my butt off without focusing on proper form and built a lot of incorrect muscle. Years later that caught up to me. My metabolism slowed down, my body was hurting because of how I was moving and I didn't like working out because I didn’t enjoy working out. I didn't like working out because I thought I had already crossed that finish line of fitness and the work seemed exhausting. Not surprising to me, I found myself at age 25 back at 260 pounds and not liking who I was looking at in the mirror. I had to make a change, not only to my physical activity but to my mental thoughts towards physical activity. This is what I love about the Trinity Wellness Community, because the focus is on a positive mind and body image, which is what got me through this slump in my life. I started to focus on the movements of each exercise and was only in competition with myself from the day before. I started being patient with myself, I started eating healthier, and I started understanding that there is no finish line when it comes to fitness. Fitness is a Lifestyle. My fitness focus is on enjoying the exercise. I love the way I feel with these principles in mind and I look forward to helping you love the way you feel in a program designed specifically for you. I’m here to help YOU get YOU back.
