After a career ending college football injury, I moved to San Diego, California and started a new chapter of my life. I got involved in studying a Japanese martial art known as Aikido. This introduced me into the eastern massage world of Shiatsu Massage.
From my Aikido training, I found a Holistic Health School in Pacific Beach known as the School of Healing Arts. Seymour Koblin was the director/ owner and eventually became my teacher. In 1992 I enrolled with the Intro Massage Course and shortly afterwards I was asked to become an Intern in Seymour's Zen Touch Shiatsu program. In 1994, I was teaching full time for the school in all levels of which I was involved for over ten years. In 1997 I was awarded the Zen Touch Practitioner Certification. I graduated from the School of Healing Arts in 1997 as a Holistic Health Practitioner. By the early 2000's the state of California demanded therapist take the National Certification exam. By 2004 I passed the National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork. I am inspired by assisting clients through therapeutic touch, communication, movement along with the presence of being in the moment. Its empowering using holistic tools that have been passed down to me in sharing lifestyle suggestions while the laws of nature manifest within. Using simple key words and or dietary suggestions, I have noticed great changes for many clients over the last 20 years. Within my practice, I am constantly reminded from clients to relax, breathe, move and open my body through the practice of meditation, weight training, movement therapy and yoga.
